▶️ With full college experience on hold, Bend twins prep for Princeton at home

Heading off to college can be a right of passage of sorts for many young adults.

You pack up your things, leave your hometown, and gain new-found levels of independence from mom and dad.

But this year is different.

Many universities have closed campuses and moving classes to online platforms – forcing freshmen to stay at home.

Summit High graduates Izzy and Fiona Max had some big plans.

They were heading cross country to run cross country for Princeton this fall.

Instead, they’re turning their bedrooms into dorm rooms and will train on familiar trails in their own back yard.

Central Oregon Daily’s Eric Lindstrom caught up with the Max twins to learn more about the college experience in the age of COVID.
