Around 11:16 a.m. ET, a Willoughby police officer was assisting a driver who had been involved in a single-car accident on SR-2 eastbound, according to Willoughby Police Department.

As the officer was standing near the motorist’s car, he saw a 2001 Toyota Tundra barreling towards him out of control. The officer jumped on the median wall for safety before the truck struck the passenger side of the police cruiser.
