A 58-year-old Bend man was arrested Monday on several domestic dispute charges after an incident at a home in Deschutes River Woods.
According to Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. William Bailey, the initial call came in about 7:20 p.m. Saturday that an armed man was involved in a domestic dispute. When deputies arrived, they were able to get a woman out of the house to safety and alerted neighbors near Choctaw Road to stay in their homes.
Neighbors were notified about 10 p.m. that deputies were leaving the area.
Bailey said at that time, the suspect was alone in the home and hadn’t made any threats to the public.
Detectives had been conducting surveillance on the home and Bradley Mitchell was contacted away from the home arrested about 6 a.m. Monday morning.
Mitchell is charged with kidnapping, 2nd degree assault, 4th degree assault, harassment, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon and coercion, Bailey said.
