Top-Ranked Teams in 5A and 3A Win Big on Friday Night

Mountain View High School and La Pine High School showed why they are ranked number one in the state in their respective classes with impressive wins on Friday night.

The Cougars scored 48 unanswered points to kickoff the first half of their Homecoming Night on their way to a 62-6 victory over the Ridgeview Ravens to prove their record to 7-0 on the season in 5A play. Meanwhile, the Hawks went on the road to Harrisburg and beat the Eagles 34-15 to improve their record to 7-0 in 3A play.

When Monday’s OSAA state rankings came out, both Mountain View and La Pine were ranked #1 in their respective classes.

In other Central Oregon high school football action, Summit High School kept their playoff hopes alive with a 31-17 Homecoming victory over Redmond. Bend lost a close one on the road in Hermiston 35-32. In 4A play, the Sisters Outlaws beat Elmira 28-7.
