The Great Outdoors: Trail Management in Deschutes and Willamette National Forests

  |

The Deschutes and Willamette National Forests will soon issue guidelines that will better manage crowds of people using wilderness trails in the Three Sisters and Mt. Jefferson Wilderness areas. In this week’s great outdoors, Brian Jennings looks at the impacts near Three Fingered Jack. The U.S. Forest Service will issue a preliminary report on trail management by the end of September.

A special thanks to our Great Outdoors sponsor, Parr Lumber, for giving us the time and resources to explore the lakes, rivers and mountains across our beautiful state with a new edition of The Great Outdoors every Wednesday night on Central Oregon Daily.
