Bend’s own BMX champion spent the holiday weekend defending her national titles at the USA BMX Grand Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Olivia Armstrong is a 16-year-old Bend Senior High School student who happens to be one of the best BMX riders in the world. Over the weekend, she competed in two divisions for national titles: the Cruiser class and the 15 and 16 year old Open Class. Her final race ended with a scary crash.
