A 61-year-old Redmond man has been arrested and charged with killing a woman found dead in her home Monday, according to court documents.

Clinton Kevin Holland was arrested in Hood River Monday on unrelated charges.

He’s being held on $150,000 bond in the Northern Oregon Regional Corrections Facility on multiple charges including second-degree murder, felony drunk driving, criminal mischief, and second-degree assault.

The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Nicole G. Jakubek, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and court records.

Jakubek was found dead inside her home in the 300 block of SW 35th Street after a family member asked authorities to perform a welfare check.

DCSO detectives were called to the scene and were working with the Oregon State Police Crime Lab, Medical Examiner’s Office, and District Attorney’s Office.

“The case is now an active murder investigation,” said Sgt. William Bailey. “Detectives have been working this case since yesterday and last night were granted a search warrant for the residence and property.”
