Semis plow into Klamath Falls police, fire vehicles investigating earlier crash

Two semis collided with three Klamath Falls Police Department patrol cars and a fire engine investigating a crash on Highway 97 Saturday, according to Oregon State Police.

One of the semis kept going and still has not been found.

Authorities were investigating a crash between a semi and SUV around 8:45 a.m. on the highway near Dan Obrien Way.

About the same time, two other semis traveling south passed the crash scene.

OSP said the first semi collided with one patrol car and hit the fire truck.

A second semi collided with all three patrol vehicles and hit the fire truck.

The first semi did not stop and continued driving south, OSP said. The second semi remained at the scene.
