Bend uses $3.2 million to improve city roads

  |

The City of Bend begins road improvement projects starting in April this year. City Councilors approved the $3.2 million dollar project at their meeting on March 15.

“The street preservation contract this season is part of our continued maintenance efforts to extend the life of our transportation infrastructure with the most cost-effective treatments and available resources,” said Transportation and Mobility Director David Abbas.

Improvements include 18 miles of asphalt grind and 19 miles of slurry seal treatments, improving approximately 37 total miles of road. The City of Bend website has a map showing the roads getting worked on for this project.
