Redmond man injured in HWY 97 crash north of Bend

A Redmond man was seriously injured Friday in a two-car crash on Highway 97 just north of Bend.

The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. when 40-year-old Richard Perry of Redmond lost control of his car, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a commercial truck.

Perry taken to St. Charles in Bend with serious injuries, according to the Oregon State Police.

The driver of the van was not injured.
