Redmond house fire causes $25,000 in damages


A two-story home caught on fire Friday night in Downtown Redmond causing about $25,000 in damages, officials said.

Redmond Fire & Rescue responded to the 400 block of W Antler Avenue around 9:54 to find flames coming out of the second floor of the home.

Crews were able to gain access to the room and quickly put out the fire.

They were able to contain the fire to the upstairs room of the house.

One firefighter did sustain a minor injury while fighting the flames.

The home is connected with an old barber shop, directly next to Rigobertos Taco Shop.

No word yet on the cause of the fire.
