▶️ Redmond Fire & Rescue asking voters to approve new levy in November

Redmond Fire and Rescue asking taxpayers to approve a new levy on the November ballot.

The levy would collect 75 cents for every $1,000 of assessed value. I would replace the current 25-cent local option levy

The department wants to use the money to focus on growth like hiring additional staff, retention and firefighter safety

“We’ve experienced a 26% increase in population and, along with that, a 68% increase in call volume. So it’s very disproportionate,” Redmond Fire and Rescue Chief Pat Dale said.

This levy will be on the November 7 ballot. If passed, it will take effect in July of next year.
