Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) announced the launch of a County Profiles data dashboard Thursday with data about housing and related dynamics across the state. It includes income levels, median home prices, percentage of home ownership and homelessness trends.
OHCS says most of the data is from the US Census Bureau’s annual surveys. It will be updated annually.
“Housing is a pivotal aspect of people’s lives and communities. We are excited to launch this new tool in helping us address complex housing issues decades in the making,” OHCS Director Andrea Bell said in a statement announcing the launch. “As we strive to make data-informed decisions, we also recognize the best solutions come from local community members who have experienced the issues we are trying to solve.”
Each County Profile has five data sections:
- Population
- Poverty
- Homeownership
- Rental Housing
- Homelessness
