▶️ Watch: Herd of 300 elk cross Crook County road

  |

While out looking for birds of prey, former Central Oregon Daily News anchor Allen Schauffler had the privilege of seeing hundreds of elk crossing a rural Crook County Road.

It happened on Teaters Road in the eastern part of the county Wednesday. Allen estimates there were at least 300 of the animals.

Allen said he spotted it while out with volunteers on the Winter Raptor Survey. You can watch the story Central Oregon Daily did on that project at this link.
