Medford police fatally shoot man while responding to alarm


MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Police in Medford shot and killed a man early Wednesday while responding to an alarm at a local business.

Medford police said the man was shot just after 3 a.m. In a statement, the police say officers found evidence of a forced entry at the business and officers confronted a man armed with a knife.

The agency did not release more details. Oregon State Police is investigating the shooting.
