Madras Police on Monday identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car on Highway 97 last week.
Sgt. Steve Webb said the incident happened on May 4th around 11:15 p.m. near L Street, where the speed limit changes from 25 to 35 mph.
First responders arrived to find 59-year-old Eric Duane Frank, who had been hit by a four-door car.
He died at the scene.
Frank tried to cross the road from the east to the west, in an area where there is no crosswalk or pedestrian crossing area, Webb said.
The driver stayed at the scene and continues to cooperate with investigators.
