Lonza Inventerprise competition asks students to rethink sports

  |

Lonza’s annual “Inventerprise” problem-solving science fair for local students is officially underway.

This year, the contest wants kids to look at sports and reinvent them.

Make it better, more accessible, more exciting – or even change your favorite sport into something new.

Ideas include addressing safety, altering equipment, uniforms, transportation or venues.

The contest is open to any Central Oregon student (Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties) in grades K-12.

They can enter as individuals or as a group, but each student can only submit one entry.

Prizes include T-shirts, gift cards, Apple AirPods, a GoPro, Apple Watch, 3-D printer, and cash up to $2,000.

The deadline is Jan. 21 2022.
