Two people were arrested Tuesday after a month-long investigation led to a drug bust at a La Pine apartment complex, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. William Bailey said the investigation started in September after multiple people at the Hawks View Estates Apartments complained about suspected drug activity happening there.
Deputies learned that residents 31-year-old Andrew L. Framel and 31-year-old Jessica M. Adams in apartment 605 were involved in the possession, manufacturing, and delivery of meth. During the investigation, deputies also learned Framel was known to be in possession of firearms while conducting illegal drug transactions at the apartment, Bailey said.
During the investigation, deputies obtained sufficient evidence to get a search warrant for the apartment. Tuesday, just before 5 p.m., members of the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, along with DCSO patrol deputies and detectives, executed the search warrant and found Framel in possession of a user amount of suspected meth and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, Bailey said.
During a search of the apartments, additional suspected methamphetamine was located along with packaging material, scales, and an additional loaded firearm, Bailey said.
Adams was also contacted at the apartment during the search warrant and arrested with a citation in lieu of custody for possession of meth and frequenting a place where drugs are used, sold or kept.
Framel was arrested and taken to the Deschutes County Jail for possession, delivery and manufacturing of a controlled substance (meth,) unlawful possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
