▶️ Jefferson County receives new fire engine from Oregon Fire Marshal program

  |

Jefferson County Fire & EMS took delivery Wednesday of a new Type 3 fire engine, courtesy of the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s (OSFM) Engine Program.

The engine was the second one delivered under the program. The first one went out this week to Central Cascades Fire & EMS in Klamath County.

The program is aimed at boosting capacity and modernizing firefighting equipment across the state due to the growing threat of wildfires.

OSFM says 76 engines and water tenders are set to be delivered through 2024. The $25 million program was made available through 2021’s Senate Bill 762.
