Redmond Fire fighters Friday afternoon rescued an injured hiker near Odin Falls.
According to Battalion Chief Garrick Terry, Redmond firefighter/paramedics hiked down to the injured hiker, provided aid, and then removed the patient using a stokes basket and a low angle rope system.
The hiker was then taken to a Redmond Fire Medic Unit and taken to St. Charles – Redmond with non-life-threatening injuries. Deschutes County SAR was activated however the patient was extracted prior to their arrival.
The incident happened just after 1 p.m. and took about 90 minutes.
