A group of elk were spotted playing in a light dusting of snow on a wildlife camera in Washington state. The elk were using an overpass meant to allow them safe passage over an interstate.
The video was captured Wednesday morning over Interstate 90 at Snoqualmie Pass, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
WSDOT says it has built 11 large wildlife crossing structures — both underpasses and overpasses — at Snoqualmie Pass, so far. That’s led to at least 20,000 recorded safe wildlife crossings through 2022.
