Oregon State Police say a woman driving under the influence of drugs caused a head-on collision Tuesday night near Powell Butte, injuring herself and two people in the car she collided with.
According to OSP, 41-year-old Kristina Huddleston drove out of her lane and collided with an SUV, flipping her pickup on eastbound Highway 126 at milepost 10.
Huddleston and the driver of the SUV, 24-year-old Melissa Allison, were injured and taken by ambulance to St. Charles in Redmond.
Allison’s passenger, 25-year-old Paul Lamendola, was flown to St. Charles in Bend with serious injuries. He was listed in good condition Wednesday afternoon.
Huddleston was charged with DUI-Controlled Substance, reckless driving, two counts of reckless endangering and three counts of third-degree assault. She was cited and released at the hospital to continue her medial care.
The crash happened about 6:33 on Tuesday and closed Highway 126 for several hours.
