Dorrell is the Chief Meteorologist at Central Oregon Daily. He has been a Meteorologist since 2009, after graduating with a degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University where he attended school, on campus, in Starkville MS. While at Mississippi State University, he had several internships in the media and at the National Data Buoy Center for NOAA.
Dorrell & his wife moved to Central Oregon in 2018 and have loved every minute that they have spent on the High Desert. He is originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast and has moved around the country with his career. He met his wife in 2015 in Davenport, Iowa and moved to Central Oregon after 3 years in North Dakota. Here in Central Oregon, he & his wife have really gotten into the outdoor lifestyle. They love to spend their time on the lakes/rivers and really enjoy hiking & camping in the summer. They also enjoy participating in the local events that our home has to offer and Dorrell loves to MC events, too. During the winter, both Dorrell & his wife have a blast snowboarding & snow shoeing. They can honestly say that there is nowhere else that we would rather be than right here in Central Oregon.
