Destination Oregon: Tillamook Creamery

  |

If you were to guess the top tourist attractions in Oregon, your list might include Crater Lake, Mount Hood and Multnomah Falls and you’d be right.

However, in this week’s Destination Oregon, sponsored by Robberson Ford, Central Oregon Daily’s Dave Jones takes us to a tourist attraction on the Oregon coast that has nothing to do with the beach but brings in well over a million visitors a year.

The Tillamook Creamery, located four hours northwest of Bend, is one of Oregon’s most well-known tourist attractions with 1.3 million people visiting each year.

Tillamook County boast some of the best dairy land in the world and cooperative of 90 dairy farmers in the area supply Tillamook with the quality milk it needs to produce the cheese it has become known for.

Other than cheese, visitors can also taste Tillamook’s ice cream, butter and yogurt, all of which make the creamery the best dairy destination in the Pacific Northwest.
