Deschutes Co. and Youth SAVE to offer virtual suicide intervention training

  |

Deschutes County and Youth SAVE are partnering to present a free, two-day virtual suicide intervention training this month.

On May 23 and 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., participants can learn how to virtually assess and intervene with young people who have thoughts of suicide.

The training will specifically cover how to identify needs, how to conduct suicide assessment and intervention with youth in virtual and in-person settings, how to help make a safety plan, and how to help connect them to local resources.

Seven hours of training will be in virtual class, while the remaining two are webinars to be completed independently before and after class.
