DA to request arrest warrant for man accused of pulling gun at Oct. 3 rally

Deschutes County District Attorney John Hummel will request a warrant to arrest 42-year-old Jake Strayer, the man who allegedly pulled out a gun at a political rally in October, for failure to appear at his arraignment on Thursday.

A photo taken near Pilot Butte on Oct. 3 shows Strayer pointing a gun at a woman during a rally where Black Lives Matter and President Trump supporters met up and clashed.

Strayer was charged on Oct. 29 with unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of menacing and two counts of pointing a firearm at another.
