Crews working 12-acre fire in Ochoco National Forest


Firefighters on Tuesday were battling incident 409 south of Big Summit Prairie on the Ochoco National Forest after it was reported Monday afternoon.

The fire has been mapped at 11.8 acres and is now 10% contained.

Central Oregon Fire Information on Tuesday afternoon tweeted the fire was located 1.5 miles N. of Wolf Creek Campground and crews have stopped the forward progress of the fire.

The goal is to have it fully lined Tuesday evening with crews beginning mop-up.
