▶️ Chimps Will Stay in Tumalo as Sanctuary Changes Hands

Two chimps that were heading to a research facility in Iowa will get to stay in Central Oregon thanks to a change in management at a Tumalo sanctuary.

Following a serious injury to a worker and a $20,000 fine from OSHA, the Chimps Inc. board of directors decided to move their chimps to a research facility in Iowa.

To avoid the chimps from being separated, a new organization called Freedom for Great Apes has been formed to keep the family together.

Central Oregon Meghan Glova has the story.
