Supper Club: Meet Two Candidates for House District 54

There are three candidates vying for the Oregon House seat being vacated by Dr. Knute Buehler for his gubernatorial run. For this week’s Supper Club, Curtis Vogel sat down with two of the House District 54 candidates, Republican Cheri Helt and Amanda La Bell from the Working Families Party.

Since taping the segment, a formal complaint has been filed with the Oregon Secretary of State’s office about a false statement made by Amanda la bell in the voters’ pamphlet. La Bell has admitted to falsely claiming that she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Valdosta State University in Georgia and the State Elections Division will now determine whether to investigate the matter.
