Bend Woman Arrested, Man Runs From Police During Domestic Dispute Call

A Bend woman was arrested early Thursday morning after she and another man drove away from police during a domestic dispute call. Police meanwhile, are still searching for the man.

According to a release, Bend Police responded to a domestic dispute just after midnight Thursday to find a man and woman in a car covered in blood. As officers tried to investigate, 19-year-old Feliciti Mullins drove away with 21-year-old Shawn Kennedy in the passenger seat.

A short time later, the car was spotted at SE Cessna Drive and SE Craven Way. Kennedy ran from police. Officers had probable cause for the crime of interfering with an officer and Kennedy had a felony probation violation warrant.

Officers tried to find Kennedy using a K9 team and drone, but were unsuccessful. It was reported the blood was from a self-inflicted knife wound to Kennedy’s leg.

Mullins was taken to the Deschutes County Jail for interfering with an officer and a misdemeanor warrant for theft.

Kennedy is described as wearing a white tank top, dark shorts and barefoot. He is 5’9”, 205 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, with facial hair.  Kennedy was also believed to be armed with a knife. We are asking for the public to call in if they see him.

Bend Police was assisted by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Police during the investigation.
