Friday was National Prisoner of War and Missing in Action Recognition Day.
The Bend Heroes Foundation honored Oregon’s nearly 2,000 POWs and MIAs at Bend Heroes Memorial Park in Bend.
They displayed flags and read the names of Bend’s 14 veterans who are still missing in action from World War 2 and Vietnam.
