Bend PD: Suspect sought in motorhome arson

Bend Police are looking for a man they say set fire to a motorhome he owned with his estranged wife.

The fire was reported just after 5 p.m. Sunday in the Crown Villa RV Park on Brosterhaus Road. Firefighters found a 1987 Bounder motorhome engulfed in flames.

Lt. Juli McConkey said it was reported that the motorhome owner, 59-year-old Bryan Lindley, had intentionally set fire to the motorhome. McConkey said Lindley left the RV park in a silver 1999 Nissan Pathfinder after setting fire to the vehicle.

According to court records, Lindley was jailed in December on domestic violence, strangulation and coercion charges and released on Thursday. He has a lengthy record, including an arrest in July for allegedly hitting someone in the head with a hammer and threatening a woman – believed to be his wife – with a machete.

Police ask if you see the Pathfinder or Lindley, call non-emergency dispatch at 541-693-6911 and notify law enforcement.
