Bend Police Thursday afternoon arrested a 24-year-old Bend man on kidnapping and assault charges after serving a search warrant at a house in Deschutes River Woods.
According to Bend Police Lt. Juli McConkey, officers on Sunday were dispatched for a welfare check at a home in Bend and found a 32-year-old woman who was a victim of a domestic violence and kidnapping incident spanning 24 hours in Bend and Redmond.
The victim was taken to St. Charles in Bend to get care for her injuries.
A subsequent investigation identified 24-year-old Jesus Alexis Alvino as the primary suspect, McConkey said. Bend Police obtained search warrants for two addresses, 2001 NE Linnea Dr. No. 238 in Bend and 60247 Faugarwee Circle in Deschutes River Woods. Detectives and the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team executed those warrants Thursday afternoon into the evening.
Alvino was located and arrested at the Deshutes River Woods home and charged with a number of crimes including first-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery and fourth-degree assault.
At the same time, four other suspects were arrested after police found evidence including firearms, and evidence of drug manufacturing and sales.
McConkey said Shane Allen Levine, a 39-year-old Bend resident, was arrested for possession of meth and felon in possession of a weapon; 24-year-old Sisters resident Colton James Black was arrested for an out of county warrant; 26-year-old Bend resident Jesse James Cheney was arrested for a parole violation warrant and Montana Lee Rhaming, a 25-year-old Bend resident, was cited for possession of Adderall and meth.
