Bend PD: 2 arrested on multiple charges after truck stolen from pizza joint

  |

Two people were arrested on theft, drug and weapons charges Wednesday night after Bend Police say they stole a truck from a pizza joint and used the victim’s credit card at the Nike store.

The incident started around 8:15 p.m. when a 65-year-old Keizer woman reported her truck had been stolen from the Abby’s Pizza on NE 3rd St. in Bend.

Lt. Juli McConkey said the victim was in Abby’s for several hours and when she left she realized her truck was gone.

While she was inside, she apparently left her keys on a table and walked away. When she returned her keys were gone.

The victim said her purse, credit cards and cell phone were in her truck when it was stolen.

McConkey said an officer was able to view the surveillance video of the suspects – 39-year-old Brandon Randall of Eagle Creek and 31-year-old Tiffanie Lewis of Milwaukie – in Abby’s at the time.

The officer was also able to obtain the license plate and make of the vehicle they arrived in, a Honda Accord.

When the victim and the officer called one of the credit card companies to cancel the card, they advised it was recently used at the Nike store, in Bend.

McConkey said officers found the Honda at the Chevron Station on SE Division Avenue at about 10:30 pm.

When officers contacted the occupants, Lewis and Randall, they were in possession of multiple stolen items they bought with the stolen credit card, as well as other items belonging to the victim, McConkey said.

Lewis and Randall also had three firearms, one rifle and two handguns, methamphetamine and heroin in their possession.

Through this investigation, officers were able to determine where the stolen pickup was and it was returned to the victim.
