▶️ Bend City Council approves Climate Action Plan

In September 2016, the Bend City Council passed a resolution aimed to reduce Bend’s fossil fuel consumption.

The city’s Climate Action Steering Committee has been working for three years to come up with a list of programs, strategies and policies that would reduce fossil fuel use in four city sectors: energy supply, energy in buildings, transportation, and waste.

The final plan was approved by the council on Wednesday night.

Central Oregon Daily’s Hannah Sievert was at the meeting and has the story.
