As superintendent search nears end, Redmond School District looks for interview panel members

The Redmond School District looking for community members to be part of a panel tasked with interviewing superintendent finalists.

The district will announce the candidates on March 4th. In person interviews with each candidate will happen on March 9th and 10th and will include an interview with a group of community stakeholders.

Parents, staff members, students, community members and district administrators will be chosen by lottery to participate in the panel.

Those interested in the finalist panel must be able to attend all interview sessions tentatively scheduled for:

  • Monday, March 9th, 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • Tuesday, March 10th, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

“The Board values the input of parents, students, staff members and community leaders in this critical process,” shared Tim Carpenter, Redmond School District Board Chairman. “We encourage anyone who is interested in participating in this panel to apply as we select Redmond School District’s next superintendent.”

Superintendent Mike McIntosh is retiring at the end of the school year after more than 20 years in the district.

Interested individuals can apply online (click here for Spanish application) from now through Monday, February 24. Applicants must currently reside within the Redmond School District boundary. Panel members will be drawn, by lottery, during the scheduled board meeting on Wednesday, February 26. Those selected will be notified by email on Thursday, February 27.
