When you move into a new place, decking the wall with art might not top the to-do list.
That was the case the Deschutes County Stabilization Center.
It opened about six months abo and has been staffing up 24/7.
The Stabilization Center, located in north Bend, serves children and adults who are in need of short-term, mental health crisis assessment and stabilization.
It also addresses the needs of citizens in mental health crisis who have been referred to law enforcement or the Emergency Department.
A Bend artist heard about the work they were doing and wanted to help out the best way he knew how.
Central Oregon Daily Photojournalist Steve Kaufmann has the story on a gift of art.
