It appears Central Oregonians were amped for this year’s Deschutes County Fair.
Officials said paid attendance for the 2021 fair was up 25% from 2019 – the previous record year.
Saturday’s attendance alone surpassed 20,000, according to Fairgrounds Director Geoff Hinds.
Carnival and food and beverage sales set records as well and were up 27% and 24% respectively over 2019.
