One person was killed Friday in a two-car crash on Highway 26 in Warm Springs, according to tribal police.

Lt. Ron Gregory said in a press release on Monday police and medical personnel responded to the crash, which happened around 6 p.m. near the junction with Highway 216.

Officers found two vehicles involved in the crash – a white 2007 Lincoln SUV and a white 2014 Ford truck towing a small utility trailer.

Two other people suffered minor injuries in the crash, Gregory said.

Based on the information obtained during the investigation, the white Lincoln was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed and tried o pass other vehicles when it struck the eastbound Ford truck and trailer.

The driver of the Lincoln was a Tribal member and was killed in the crash.

Oregon State Police responded to the crash to assist with the investigation and reconstruction.
