Sisters resident Callie Cattell is a self-proclaimed girly girl and a hardworking fisherman who has also literally helped to train astronauts. Yes, NASA astronauts.
And if all that wasn’t enough, she’s also one of the contestants on CBS’s new reality show, ‘Tough As Nails’.
“It showcases America’s hardest workers,” said Cattell. “There’s a farmer, a fireman, a sheriff, a roofer, a dry-waller, the people that keep America running. The blue-collar workers that aren’t glamorous.”
Cattell and the 11 other contestants filmed the earlier this year, and as the show name suggests, it was no easy task.
“It was the craziest experience,” said Cattell. “We’d go to different locations every day and we never knew what we were going or what we were getting into and all the competitions are genuine and the outcomes are genuine and we all gave it our best shot.”
But despite the difficult tasks and the craziness of competition, in the end, contestants came out with something more than just a prize.
“It was incredible, I met some really incredible people on the show, some really hard workers,” said Cattell. “It really showcases the lines of work that we have and the pride we have in our jobs.”
You can see Callie on the series premiere of Tough As Nails tomorrow night on CBS at 8 p.m.
