▶️ Hoping to play for a paycheck, Redmond pro football tryouts attract a crowd

It’s closer to spring than fall, but football was in the air Saturday at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds.

Young players from across the country showed up to show off their skills, hoping to get a chance to play for a paycheck with the Oregon High Desert Storm.

The region’s first professional indoor football team is set to participate this spring as part of the American West Football Conference.

Central Oregon Daily’s Steve Kaufmann was there to talk to the players about their dreams and the coaches judging the talent.
