As many of you may know, I’ve been covering the latest happenings on Mars, and one of the most popular topics has been the ingenuity drone.
Ingenuity not only flew successfully, but has completed all of its planned flights, and is now going into uncharted territory.
But did you know that a local man was one of the godfathers of flying on Mars?
His name is Lloyd Corliss, and I interviewed him during the COVID lockdown, but with the restrictions letting up, I took Lloyd up on an invitation to visit his little home museum.
What I found was a legacy of experimental flight that dates back to the 1970’s.
