▶️ 100 years worth of close calls, Dick Higgins says ‘it’s nice to be recognized’


After an emotional few days in Oahu with Bend Pearl Harbor survivor Dick Higgins, we take a look back.

He’s survived the Japanese attacks 80 years ago – not to mention Dust Bowl, the Great Depression and, last year, a battle with COVID-19.

It’s been a long, difficult journey back to the Naval base, but it’s a journey he said was worth every step.
