La Pine Baseball Defends Their State Title

Just a year ago the La Pine High School baseball team won the state title in Salem, and today they took to the field for the 3A High School Baseball Playoffs to defend that title. Since last year the team lost seven senior players but Central Oregon Daily’s Eric Lindstrom was in La Pine just before the game to see how the very young team was feeling.

Inspirational Athlete Keagan Prevett Signs On for College Football

It was a big day for student-athletes at Madras High School today as they signed letters of intent to ply their respective sports at colleges across the country. We did find one familiar face at today’s signing day, kicker Keagan Prevett, whose inspirational story we’ve been following the last year, was there committing to his post-high school plans.
Central Oregon Daily’s Eric Lindstrom was in Madras today to hear from some of the students.

Cascade Cycling Classic Returns to Central Oregon

After a one-year hiatus the Cascade Cycling Classic is back!

The race was canceled last year for logistical reasons, but in less than a month, the race will be back in Central Oregon for the 39th time.

Central Oregon Daily’s Eric Lindstrom caught up with race director to find out what to expect for the 2019 CCC.

Title Town

The Culver High School Wrestling team earned their 12th State championship in the last 13 years in February and added to the program’s reputation as a true wrestling dynasty in Oregon.
The one constant during the Bulldogs’ dominant run has been Coach J.D. Alley, who has been turning Culver teens into champions for nearly three decades.

Local Football Player’s Incredible Return To The Field

It’s been a long road to recovery for Sisters High School football player Wyatt Hernandez after he suffered a concussion during a freshman football practice that left him with a speech impediment, memory loss and the inability to read. Over the next two years Wyatt set his sights on one day returning to to the field with his friends and teammates. He accomplished that goal his senior year and became The Outlaws all league field goal kicker.
